Use this result with confidence
Build a cumulative split table from your distance and target time, with kilometre, mile, track and custom markers.
Choose the checkpoints you want to see
Start with your total distance and target time, then select a split interval. Use 1 km, 1 mile, 400 m, 5 km or a custom interval. Include halfway when it is useful. The finish is always included, even when the final segment is shorter than your regular interval.
A four-hour marathon, marker by marker
For 42.195 km in 4:00:00, the cumulative time at a marker is the total time multiplied by that marker’s share of the full distance. At 40 km this gives 3:47:31 after rounding. The terminal row remains exactly 4:00:00.
| Marker | Elapsed time |

Read cumulative and segment times correctly
A cumulative time is the time since the start. A segment time covers only the distance since the previous row. If a halfway marker is inserted, the neighbouring segments become shorter than the normal interval. Read the distance labels rather than assuming every row covers the same length.
Copy or export your table
Copy the displayed rows for a quick reference or export CSV to retain both raw values and formatted labels. Changing the display unit does not change the underlying total distance. Your custom parameters remain tool state rather than becoming a separate public page.
Common questions
How do I get mile splits instead of kilometre splits?
Choose 1 mile as the marker interval. The km / mi control changes the labels of the existing checkpoints; it does not move them. A 1 km interval displayed in miles still marks each original kilometre.
Why is there a short row after 21 km in a half marathon?
The finish is 21.0975 km, leaving 97.5 m after the 21 km checkpoint. At a two-hour target, 21 km displays 1:59:27 and the finish is 2:00:00. Keep both rows to retain the full distance.
