RACE-DAY REFERENCE

Organize a Small Library of Printable Pace Bands

Name, save and back up your printable pace bands. Keep PDF, SVG, CSV and JSON files together, and restore saved plans in another browser.

Give each reference an unmistakable label

A small collection of pace bands becomes easier to reuse when each file identifies its distance and exact target. “Race band” is a weak label after several versions have been downloaded. Use the numerical plan as the core of the name, then add a marker or print-layout detail when it matters.

For example, keep 5 km at 25:00, 10 km at 50:00 and a marathon at 4:00:00 as three distinct references. They may share a visual style, but the distance and duration should remain visible in the browser, printed title and local filename.

Suggested names after saving files locally
PlanSuggested base nameUseful extra detail
5 km · 25:005k-25m1km-markers
10 km · 50:0010k-50m1km-markers
42.195 km · 4:00:00marathon-4h5km-half-finish

These are naming suggestions for your own files, not a claim that the website manages folders on your device. Keep labels concise enough to fit a band title. A title can contain up to 32 characters and the optional note up to 60; the maker shows an error if the text is too long.

Save a small set in this browser

The local collection holds up to 20 plans. Save a plan after checking its distance, target and marker choices. Rename or delete entries when their purpose changes. If two saved names look similar, open the plan and verify its numerical fields before exporting it again.

These saved entries belong to the browser profile that created them. Clearing site data, changing profiles or using another device can make them unavailable. Private browsing or storage restrictions may also prevent a persistent save. The current calculation should remain usable when that happens.

Keep output files and a record together

What each file is for
FormatUse
PDFA print-ready reference with defined paper geometry.
SVGA vector version of the same layout.
CSVRaw and displayed split values for a spreadsheet.
JSONA readable record of saved plan data.

Keep the print-ready file with the numerical record when the plan is important to retain. A suggested folder could contain the PDF, SVG, a split CSV and a saved-plans JSON export. This is a personal filing method; it does not introduce cloud storage or automatic synchronization.

To recover saved plans, open Save on this device and choose your JSON file under Restore a JSON backup. Plans already present in this browser are skipped, so restoring the same file twice does not duplicate them. A share link can also reopen the numerical settings for one plan.

Reopen and check before reuse

  1. Confirm the distance and exact finish target.
  2. Check the marker interval, halfway option and pacing allocation.
  3. Locate the final printed marker.
  4. Verify the paper size and band dimensions.
  5. Print at Actual size or 100% and measure the calibration line.

An old file can remain a correct record of a different plan. Checking its title alone is not enough if a similar name was reused. The numerical finish and marker labels provide a quick way to distinguish versions without relying on download order.
