The distance behind this chart
Ten kilometres is exactly twice 5 km. With an even pace, the 5 km row is also halfway. Adding a halfway marker should not create a second 5 km row. A 50:00 target, for example, reaches that shared marker at 25:00.
Pace and finish-time reference
This grid uses explicit 30-second-per-kilometre steps. The mile pace alongside each row is a display conversion of that same pace, not a separately rounded input. Choose a row as a reference or enter your own target in the calculator.
A specific plan to check
For 10 km in 0:50:00, the average displayed pace is 5:00/km or 8:03/mi. The target duration is preserved when you open its split table.
| Marker | Elapsed time |

| 1 km | 0:05:00 |

Keep the finish marker
A regular interval does not always divide the full distance. The tool adds a terminal row for the remaining distance and removes duplicate markers. Cumulative rows use the original target, so the finish does not drift when displayed paces are rounded.
