Use this result with confidence
Create a compact pace-to-finish-time grid for selected distances, with explicit pace units and CSV export.
Choose a useful pace interval
Select the distance, starting pace, ending pace and step. A smaller step makes a denser table, so choose only the range you need. The table supports at most 60 pace rows. Its values are reference arithmetic, not a recommendation for which pace to choose.
Example: 10 km at half-minute steps
| Pace per kilometre | Finish time |
|---|---|
| 4:00/km | 0:40:00 |
| 4:30/km | 0:45:00 |
| 5:00/km | 0:50:00 |
| 5:30/km | 0:55:00 |
| 6:00/km | 1:00:00 |
| 6:30/km | 1:05:00 |
| 7:00/km | 1:10:00 |
Read the pace unit before the value
A 5:00/km input and a 5:00/mi input are different paces. The selected pace unit determines the grid. Distances are converted with the same exact mile constant used by the other tools, then finish times are rounded once for display.
Move from a grid to a specific target
Once you have selected a time, use the pace or split calculator to work with that particular plan. Export the grid as CSV when you need a static comparison. Editing the range changes the current table without creating extra indexable pages.
Common questions
Why do the pace numbers change when I switch units?
Switching from min/km to min/mi converts the existing pace range and step while keeping the same finish-time rows. To start a different range, edit its endpoints after switching. A 5:00/km pace becomes about 8:03/mi; entering 5:00/mi creates a different, faster row.
How do I make a smaller pace chart?
Narrow the pace range or increase Step in seconds. From 4:00 to 8:00 at 15-second steps gives 17 rows, including both endpoints. At one-second steps it would need 241 rows and exceed the 60-row limit. Use 5-second steps for 49 rows over that range.
